An apartment building of about 8,500 sqm (B+G+5F) on Pipera Blvd., in Voluntari, developed by Golden Jaraso on a 2,000 sqm plot. The facade has a warm character — exposed red brick alternating with white render, balcony slabs with glass balustrades and a set-back top level with planted terraces. The distinctive feature of the project: the building, initially authorised at B+G+3F+PF, was later extended upwards by one level, reaching B+G+5F. PPAE acted as General Designer.

The upward extension

After the building was authorised at the initial regime, the project was extended vertically by an additional level. Such an intervention requires attention to the already designed structure and services, so that the added level integrates naturally, without affecting the building below — and the regime remains within the limit permitted on this plot.

Result

For the developer, extra apartments on the same site, through a well-integrated upward extension. For PPAE, another vertical-extension intervention carried through — from the authorised building to the final regime.
