MOPH is the building with which a brand identity was born. For the developer “My Place”, PPAE created here a recognisable exterior aesthetic, Art Deco-inspired, which later became the visual signature of the entire “My Place” series — buildings you will also find in the PPAE residential portfolio. A mixed-use building in Pipera (Voluntari, Ilfov County), B+G+5F, with a ground floor dedicated to lifestyle: swimming pool, spa centre, fitness and a shop. PPAE acted as General Designer.

Challenges

The developer was not looking just for a building, but for an image — a visual identity strong and coherent enough to be recognised and repeated as a brand signature on future projects. Added to this was a ground floor with lifestyle functions — pool, spa, fitness, retail — unusual for a residential building of this scale.

Solutions

PPAE designed a distinct and consistent exterior aesthetic, Art Deco-inspired, characteristic enough to become recognisable. The developer adopted it as a brand identity and reused it on the subsequent “My Place” buildings — some also in the PPAE residential portfolio (see My Place Residence and My Place Residence North). On the ground floor, the building concentrates a recreation and health area — swimming pool, spa centre and fitness room — alongside a commercial space, raising the offer above the usual standard of an apartment building. The building is designed to nZEB standard.

Result

For the developer, more than a building: a reusable brand image that gave visual coherence to the entire “My Place” series — a collaboration the developer continued with PPAE on the following projects. For PPAE, a project that shows architecture can also be a branding tool: an aesthetic designed to be recognised and repeated, not just built once.
