Finished pharmaceutical product warehouse for Antibiotice Iasi — one of the best-known pharmaceutical companies in Romania, with over seven decades of tradition in medicine production. Built inside the company's active industrial platform, with a built area of approximately 4,300 sqm on a partial ground+1 floor regime, the warehouse serves storage, order preparation and shipping operations for the manufacturer's entire finished-product portfolio.

Challenges

The project required delivering a pharmaceutical facility compliant with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards and Antibiotice's internal specifications — requirements stricter than those for an ordinary logistics warehouse, in terms of flows, ambient control and product traceability. The location, inside the active Antibiotice site (over 410,000 sqm of continuously operating industrial platform), imposed strict access, execution and coordination protocols alongside ongoing operations.

Solutions

  • Strict functional zoning for pharmaceutical flows. Receiving, main storage, order preparation and shipping are clearly separated functions, with a dedicated cold room for products requiring controlled-temperature storage. The six docking gates on the eastern side support inbound and outbound flows without interference.
  • Envelope and systems sized for GDP requirements. The enclosure, ventilation and ambient-control solutions were calibrated to maintain medicine storage conditions throughout the year, in line with Antibiotice's specifications and applicable regulations.

Result

For Antibiotice Iasi, a storage facility aligned with GDP standards and capable of supporting distribution of the entire finished-product portfolio.
