The office building of FAN Courier’s first regional hub, in Brașov — the body where the architectural identity of the administrative seats in the company’s hub network was first defined. With a floor area of about 1,800 sqm on a G+1F regime, the building houses the regional administrative seat for the central region: a front office with external access, operational offices, secretariat and management, plus driver accommodation on the upper floor.

Challenges

The stake was not one of area, but of image. FAN Courier needed a clear, replicable visual identity for its future regional seats, and the office building was the element meant to carry it — the most publicly exposed body of a complex otherwise dominated by the logistics function. The second requirement was to raise the public-interface area above the usual standard of the typology.

Solutions

In Brașov the network’s visual vocabulary was defined for the first time: the curved envelope of perforated sheet on a metal structure, mounted as a second skin over the office body and distinct from the adjacent sorting hall. It is the same language that returned later in Cluj, Sibiu and, at a different scale, in Ștefănești.

The reception hall, developed over two levels and finished in grey granite, warm wood and blue joinery, raises the welcome area above the standard of the logistics typology — the built expression of a company that meets its clients face to face.

Result

For FAN Courier, the first regional seat with an assumed visual identity, then replicated across the national hub network. For PPAE, the moment a recurring architectural vocabulary was defined for a major client — the starting point of an extended collaboration across several cities.
